Crane Elegy

Sometimes, I wish I were a bird, but fear that as a bird, I would be imprisoned and killed by my human self.

This series explores the human desire for freedom and the inherent constraints we face. The crane serves as a symbol of the struggle between beauty and tragedy, capturing the delicate balance between longing and confinement. It is a meditation on the human condition, where grace and despair coexist.

I often feel that humanity is full of contradictions. We yearn to stand out, yet fall into mediocrity; we are entangled with our environment, causing harm, separating, enduring.
